Andrey Sebrant was born in 1954 in Moscow. Graduated from Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology in 1977, later got PhD in laser physics. Since 1995 has been working for many Internet companies, Russian and international (GlasNet, Russia-Online, About.com, Lycos Europe) in top marketing positions. Since 2004 is Marketing Director for Yandex. Andrey is also the Editor-in-Chief for Russian Journal of Internet Marketing (in print since 2001), author of many papers on interactive marketing.
Yandex is Russia’s largest internet company, whose websites attract a workday audience of more than 19 million users (unique visitors as of March 2010) from Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, and other countries. Yandex places advertising on its own websites, and also delivers text-based ads to the thousands of third-party websites that comprise the Yandex Advertising Network.
