Sergey Petrenko joined Yandex to head its Ukrainian branch in 2005. In 2006, he became Chief Executive Office for Yandex.Ukraine. In parallel with his work in this position, from 2010 Sergey also represents Yandex in Belarus.
Prior to joining Yandex, Sergey worked as a private consultant in search marketing. In 2000, he founded Searchengines.ru, currently the largest web resource about search systems and technologies in the Russian internet. Since 2002, Sergey has been a program committee member of Optimization, a yearly conference on optimization and online marketing. He is a regular speaker at industry events and conferences in Russia, Ukraine and other CEE countries.
Sergey is a prolific blogger and a popular guest on IT podcasts.
