Safdar Mustafa

Head of Mobile Media at AL JAZEERA NETWORK

Safdar Mustafa is based in Qatar where he leads Al Jazeera’s Mobile Media initiatives. As part of the New Media team, he is responsible for innovating in the mobile media space to broaden audience use, distribution and engagement with Al Jazeera content. He is also responsible for launching and expanding mobile and tablet experiences across the Al Jazeera Media Network.

Safdar also leads the mobile field reporting initiatives to come up with mobile solutions, tools and best practices for Al Jazeera’s newsrooms and award winning international correspondents. Previously he worked in the UK for Ericsson, Lucent Technologies and IBM.
